Higher standards since day one In 2010, a young cannabis-loving couple set out on a mission to create a better edible experience for legal consumers. Scott Palmer and Kristi Knoblich Palmer were inspired by a visit to a local chocolatier, and soon started crafting the first Kiva bars in their home kitchen. They didn’t realize it at the time, but they weren’t just creating a premium edible product, they were setting the gold standard for the entire legal cannabis industry. In the last decade, customer support has turned this family-owned business into the #1 edibles brand in the country. Today, they are proud to employ 200+ passionate people, and have added Terra, Petra and Camino to their happy family of premium cannabis products.

Delta 9 THC is the primary compound found in the resinous glands of a cannabis plant, and is directly responsible for psychoactive effects. It mirrors the body’s naturally occurring cannabinoids and attaches to these receptors to alter and enhance sensory perception. THC can create a feeling of euphoria by enhancing dopamine levels in the brain. The amount of THC in a cannabis product can vary widely based on the method of consumption and the strain at the source of that product. The high that is produced is often enhanced by the “entourage effect” which is a combination of multiple cannabinoids in conjunction with various terpenes and individual body chemistry.
THC (Tetrahydrocannabinol)
The primary psychoactive compound that produces euphoria and altered perception.
CBD (Cannabidiol)
Non-intoxicating compound known for therapeutic benefits without the high.
CBG (Cannabigerol)
Non-psychoactive with potential antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties.
